- Holy Shit!! it's been a loooong time since I updated anyone with
some Hammercocks news. The latest is this: The Faggotkings/Hammercocks
Split is still not released, the pressing plant is backed up and the Stereodrive
Records site simply says "Out Soon" for the release date,
so I guess all I can tell you is... It'll be OUT SOON you son of a
bitch.
We've
been practicing week after week and just been havin' fun making up new
songs. We haven't played a show since the C.O.S. shindig quite a
while back and we aren't planning on any shows any time soon, although
that could change at anytime if we get the itch to play or if we get a
descent offer, but for now, we're content with making up new stuff and I
have to say we are on a fuckin' roll!!! If things keep goin' well
on the Goat Farm, look for a new album out by the end of this
year.
Our
latest finished product was the split 7" with Italy's The Nerds,
it's got a VS. theme and some great artwork to go along with the
unreleased tunes from both bands. Look for this record to be out
by April of this year in time for a Swiss Nerds tour to support the
release. Keep your eyes on the label Zurich
Chainsaw Massacre , the
Nerds and of course us
for further info.
The
next project will be the Hank Williams Sr. tribute mentioned
before. We have decided to do the classic Settin' The Woods On
Fire and the song is coming along nicely and should be recorded in the
next few months.
We've
also started working on our version of Burn In Hell for the upcoming
Twisted Sister tribute set to be released on ScatBoy Records!!
More info to come on this once bands/songs are final and a release date
has been set.
As
for the next release, it may be the 7" 4 song on Devil Shitburner,
more details on that when we get 'em
Other

The
promos have been mailed out, we have plenty left since we haven't played
any live shows lately, they have new color artwork of the great Hell

The Goat
Farm is up and running strong, we had some problems a while back,
apparently due to some hackers with waaaay too much time on their hands,
but now everything is cool, we're up to 20 or so members, so feel free

what the hold up is, but it is now slated for late December according to Green Hell/Stereodrive records in Germany.

second pressing of our 2002 8 song promo will be done this week, it was
worth the wait, it has a full color cover with some new artwork, it
rocks, and will be sent out to those that have requested it as soon as

- Hammercocks get a deal on Devil Shitburner Records! Talks
of a 4 song full color 7" colored vinyl release on the German label
are final, look for more info to come, release date Feb. 2003.
Also, we have been invited to be on the Hank Williams Sr. 10"
tribute.
The
12" Faggotkings split should be out this month on Green Hell
records.
The
7" Nerds Split should be out in Jan/Feb 2003
We're
still trying to gather up some more cash to get some more Promo CDs made
so we can send it out to all that have requested one.
We're
currently taking a short break from playing shows and are writing new
songs every week for a possible full length CD and more small releases
in 2003.

- Well, we had a fuckin' blast down in New Orleans playing the COS
show, All the bands kicked ass and a special thanks goes out to
Walt, Jeff and all the other people in the COS. Look for
some rantin' and ravin' about the trip, the show and the drinkin' on
this site later plus some pictures from the shindig. Also be
prepared for some more shows with some of the COS bands coming soon,
take a look at the Otto's Partz link for possible quick info on that
until the shows are confirmed, Why? I don't know, I guess because
Otto wants his own page and wants to make it look really cool and keep
it updated so he can get layed more, but just look at it.
The

Bad news on the promo,
we're so fuckin' bad about this shit, but hey it is fuckin' free so FUCK
YOU. We gave away all of the promos at our last 3 shows, 200 of
those bad boys, but hey those freaks deserved 'em more than you lazy
internet surfin' fuckers right? I mean hell they actually got off their
ass and made it to a show. Anyway, we're working on getting some
more, possibly with better covers/artwork so all is not lost. Of
course as soon as we get 'em ready we'll send them out to all of you

Supershow in New Orleans. We'll be going on first Saturday night,
followed by Punk/Rock N Roll heroes: Hammerlock, Before I Hang,

We are truly honored to be playing with all of these bands and to be
playing the COS supershow. If you've never been to the annual COS
show, you have NOT been to a punk rock show my friend, people from all
over the world come to this sucker, last years event in Austin Texas was
THE best show I've ever seen. So don't be a fool, get yer ass down
to New Orleans and rock out with us.

- We're finally done with our recordings and we've decided NOT to
release our second full length album, we're just not happy with all of
the songs and ain't gonna put out a shit album. Instead, we're
going to release the good songs from the recording session on some
smaller yet equally ass-kickin' albums, the first being the split
12" with Germany's FaggotKings. Look for it to be out in late
September or October. When we get the official date, we'll let ya
know. It will have the following songs:

The
next release will be a split 7" with Italy's The Nerds out early
next year. As for the rest of the "good" songs from the
recording, they are without a home for now, but I'm sure we'll find a
place for 'em. We're also going to release promo CD available to

and we'll send ya one free of course.
We
will put out our second full length in 2003 more than likely as we come
up with all new songs.

- The Ramones Tribute is scheduled for release in Feburary, it
looks like it's going to turn out really well, some great bands ended up
on this thing including the Hellions, Filthy Skanks, Faggotkings and
probably some more I don't even know about. You can listen to a
promo mp3 here it was sent to us by Shortfuse
Records, it's kinda big, but worth the download. Stay tuned
for info on getting the sucker, hopefully we'll have it available from
our site for about $5 or so.

- Well shit, it's been a while since we've updated this site, we're
working on completely overhaulin' this puppy. Anyway, we finally

General
is outta state workin' so we had to cancel some shows, plus we've just
started recording our 2nd album so because of those 2 things, we ain't
plannin' on any gigs until the end of December or so. The Misfits
tribute is still gonna happen along with the Ramones Tribute and the
split 10" with the FaggotKings. If we get any details, we'll
let everyone know.

had to cancel the OK City show due to General Lee working for the man,
it fuckin' sucks ass and we hated to do it, but we'll be back in OK city

- This ain't really news, but we played last night at the Ridglea
Theater in Ft. Worth, and it was the most fuckin' freaky show yet, bad
fuckin' karma or somethin' that night. First we got there late and
had to rush to setup, then the snare drum busted, and then General Lee
got fuckin' shocked so hard from the mic, he hit the floor!!! no shit
man, somethin' was fucked up with the circuit I guess, probably from his
old ass amp, it's a 30 yr. old fender super six, and it rocks ass, but
somethin' must have been screwed up. We kept playin' and limpin'
along with all the problems including the monitor system not working at
all, so we couldn't hear ourselves. Then he got zapped again, big
fuckin' electrical arc hit his face and he hit the ground again, he
didn't get up so quick this time, but we managed to finish the last song
and get out of the place alive. I've been shocked by microphones
before, but nothin' like this man, shit. He said his ear hurts
like a motherfucker today and his lips have burn marks, but I told him
to quit bein' such a puss!! I think someone may have got it on
video or taken a picture, I hope so.
